Dead Letter Circus Kicks Off First Ever North American Tour

This sentiment perfectly describes DEAD LETTER CIRCUS who who will issue the group’s debut effort, This Is The Warning, in North America through Sumerian Records on July 26th.
Never content to settle for mediocrity or banality, this Australian sensation set out from the start to establish a fresh sound that pushed the boundaries of alternative rock that quickly captivated the masses.

Kim (vocals) states: “We just landed in LA and are super pumped about our North American debut. The majority of the music that shaped our lives came out of the USA, and it’s very much a dream come true to bring our sounds here. We love the concept of starting again in a new country, it’s a really exciting time for a band. The people you meet in different cities at this foetal stage of a career are the ones that stick in your mind forever, and kind of become the face of the city to a band. We’ll definitely be out meeting as many people as we can and checking out of the other bands from front of house.
The line-up is fucking incredibly intimidating. I hadn’t really heard of any of the bands prior to signing to Sumerian, and spent most of a day with my jaw on the ground checking them all out, absolutely amazing players. I don’t think I have seen our guitarists ever practice so much in our entire career, when I asked Rob our guitarist why, he just said ‘Tosin’. After a period of wondering what a Tosin actually was, it all became very clear, Animals as Leaders are either aliens, or some kind of genetically modified musician freaks here to take over the earth.”
The Brisbane, Australian based act released their first EP in 2007, which quickly received massive critical acclaim nationwide. The band immediately upped the ante by teaming up with Australian super producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool) to record their much anticipated debut full-length release, This Is The Warning. The offering debuted at #2 on the Australian charts alongside a #1 iTunes debut, pushing DEAD LETTER CIRCUS to the top of the Australian rock scene. Numerous sold-out tours around the country quickly followed, which was capped off with stadium support shows with Muse and Linkin Park. This Is The Warning is quickly approaching gold certification for the Australian territory.
