January 2012 Best Heavy Metal CDs

2012 is off to a rousing start. Unlike movie studios that release the dregs at the beginning of the year, there were plenty of quality metal albums released in January. Huge names like Lamb Of God and Nightwish kick off 2012 with new releases, both of which made this month’s top 5. But the top CD on the list is from a French black metal band that has sold probably 1/1000th the number of albums that LOG and Nightwish have.
